| Construction of this 5 storied building of 1590 m2 floor area within a time period of 14 month was a real challenge due to its location in a highly congested urban area where space available was minimal which caused serious difficulties in bringing materials & equipment to the site as well as for storing of sufficient quantities of materials. In addition, adjoining buildings of Bank of Ceylon and Hatton National Bank restricted almost all operations and mainly foundation work due to the extra precautionary measures required for not to disturb their stability, security and functioning. |

| The contract for the Project was awarded in September 2009 and we immediately started works. As scheduled we completed the project in November 2010 to the fullest satisfaction of the client, the People’s Bank. |

| The building consisted of a basement, four upper stories and a roof top as a reinforced concrete structure on a raft concrete foundation. As a highly competitive commercial building, it required very high level of quality and finishes. We could achieve these requirements at the highest level, thanks to our construction team which was fully dedicated in discharging their duties. Our thanks are also due to the consultant, Ms Kahawita De Silva & Associates Pvt Ltd for its valuable guidance and co-operation in the execution of construction works. |
